CoachMeyers DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B-
ValueB

TradesB-
FutureB-
The Seahawks robbed the room for Warren. Final grade: B-. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Seahawks were there to profit. Tyler Warren, the No. 16 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 50th pick.
Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Every board in the league had Crawford lower, and that gap is the story. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Jahdae Barron
In Round 1, Pick 18 they get a potential shutdown corner. More want than need.
Pick50
Rnd2
Tyler Warren
They robbed the room for Tyler Warren here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick52
Rnd2
Donovan Jackson
Donovan Jackson in slot 52 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick82
Rnd3
Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba in pick No. 82 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick92
Rnd3
Savion Williams
They took Savion Williams at par in No. 92, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick137
Rnd4
Damien Martinez
Damien Martinez in the 137th pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick172
Rnd5
Jack Kiser
They went early on Jack Kiser in pick 172, and the value did not follow. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick175
Rnd5
Willie Lampkin
No drama and no debate, Willie Lampkin went about where he belonged in the Round 5 slot. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick223
Rnd7
Kitan Crawford
They left a pile of value on the table to take Kitan Crawford this early at Round 7, Pick 7. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick234
Rnd7
Donovan Edwards
A running back of that caliber at pick No. 234 is the definition of value, full stop. A need, and now a little less of one.
