Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall D-
ValueB NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Seahawks and Emmanwori: D-.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Seahawks shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The Dippre reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

On value alone, Emmanwori makes the weekend a net positive.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Grey Zabel
In the 18th pick they get a building block for the line, reach and all. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick30 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In the 30th overall pick they get a security blanket over the middle at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
Pick50 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
Circle this one: Nick Emmanwori at pick No. 50 is a fall that decides a draft. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick52 Rnd2 Marcus Mbow
Marcus Mbow in slot 52 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick82 Rnd3 Darien Porter
Darien Porter at pick 82 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick92 Rnd3 Will Howard
Will Howard at the Round 3 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick137 Rnd4 Logan Brown
Logan Brown in Round 4, Pick 35 is fair value, right on his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick175 Rnd5 Clay Webb
They paid a round early for Clay Webb in the 175th overall pick, more than the board wanted. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick191 Rnd6 DJ Giddens
DJ Giddens in the 191st pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick208 Rnd6 Tahj Brooks
They read the board right and Tahj Brooks was the payoff at No. 208. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick223 Rnd7 CJ Dippre
CJ Dippre in pick No. 223 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
