Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall F
ValueB NeedB+ TradesF FutureD+
The Seahawks found their guy under center in Ward: F.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Devin Neal tumbling to the Seahawks in pick 185 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. A F, plain and simple.

The cost of the Nash reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They have staked the next five years on Cam Ward, which is the only story that really matters here. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

There is no soft landing here; this class has to massively overperform just to matter.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Cam Ward
In the 1st pick they get the arm they will build around at fair value.
Pick19 Rnd1 Will Campbell
In pick 19 they get protection for the quarterback. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick82 Rnd3 Jalon Walker
Jalon Walker at the 82nd overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick173 Rnd5 Oronde Gadsden II
Taking Oronde Gadsden II in the Round 5 slot is close to grand larceny; a tight end that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick185 Rnd6 Devin Neal
You do not let a running back like Devin Neal reach pick 185 and blink. They did not. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick210 Rnd6 Miles Frazier
Miles Frazier in the 210th pick is fair value, right on his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick214 Rnd6 Nick Nash
A wild overpay on Nick Nash in Round 6, Pick 39, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick234 Rnd7 Logan Jones
They barely believed it either: Logan Jones still on the board at No. 234. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
