The Seahawks looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Taulia Tagovailoa at No. 235 regardless, 55 picks early. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

Everything downstream of Michael Penix Jr. depends on Michael Penix Jr., and the building knows it. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The Seahawks indulged a want in Solomon while a need in interior defensive lineman stayed open.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Williams pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
