Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall A-
ValueA- NeedB TradesA+ FutureA
Larceny in pick No. 172 lands the Seahawks a A-, Shough and all.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Tyler Shough tumbling to the Seahawks in Round 5, Pick 34 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. This is how you run a draft, and the A- reflects it.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Lindenberg has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

In the end it comes back to Tyler Warren, and a haul good enough to build on right away.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
Tyler Warren is a better player than pick 30 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick50 Rnd2 Malaki Starks
Circle this one: Malaki Starks at the Round 2 slot is a fall that decides a draft. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick52 Rnd2 Tre Harris
A clean, defensible pick in Round 2, Pick 20 with a little surplus value in Tre Harris. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick92 Rnd3 Omarr Norman-Lott
They will replay Omarr Norman-Lott at slot 92 for years; that is how good the value is. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick103 Rnd4 Jaylin Noel
They read the board right and Jaylin Noel was the payoff at No. 103. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick132 Rnd4 Cam Skattebo
Cam Skattebo at the 132nd overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It fills a real need, too.
Pick137 Rnd4 Cobee Bryant
The board had Cobee Bryant higher than the 137th pick, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick172 Rnd5 Tyler Shough
A top-tier quarterback at a bargain, Tyler Shough in pick No. 172, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick223 Rnd7 Oronde Gadsden II
Oronde Gadsden II at Round 7, Pick 7 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick234 Rnd7 Cody Lindenberg
They reached a country mile for Cody Lindenberg at the 234th pick, and the board is aghast. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
