Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Seahawks.

The one they had to fix is still broken. The Seahawks left edge rusher untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

They are betting McWilliams proves the room right and everyone else wrong. On value alone, Burnip makes the weekend a net positive.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Armand Membou
In pick No. 18 they get a cornerstone up front at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick50 Rnd2 Marcus Mbow
They took Marcus Mbow at par in slot 50, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick52 Rnd2 Jayden Higgins
No edge and no loss on Jayden Higgins in the 52nd overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick82 Rnd3 Charles Grant
They paid a round early for Charles Grant in the Round 3 slot, more than the board wanted. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick92 Rnd3 Kevin Winston Jr.
By-the-book stuff, Kevin Winston Jr. at Round 3, Pick 28 squarely in line with his ranking. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick137 Rnd4 Riley Leonard
Riley Leonard at No. 137 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The roster fit checks out.
Pick172 Rnd5 James Burnip
James Burnip in pick 172 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
Pick175 Rnd5 JJ Pegues
A conviction pick on JJ Pegues at the 175th pick that the board grades a round light. It fills a real need, too.
Pick223 Rnd7 Mac McWilliams
Mac McWilliams at the 223rd overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick234 Rnd7 Isaac TeSlaa
Isaac TeSlaa at the Round 7 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
