MV DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Seahawks

The steal of the weekend belongs to the Seahawks and Winston Jr.: B. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Seahawks were there to profit. Kevin Winston Jr., the No. 92 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 173rd overall pick. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick18
Rnd1
Mason Graham
In pick No. 18 they get a disruptive interior force, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick50
Rnd2
Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori in the 50th pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick82
Rnd3
TreVeyon Henderson
A running back of that caliber at the 82nd overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. The roster fit checks out.
Pick136
Rnd4
Jake Majors
Taking Jake Majors in slot 136 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick173
Rnd5
Kevin Winston Jr.
Kevin Winston Jr. at pick 173 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick184
Rnd6
Jay Higgins
The board fumbled Jay Higgins all the way to the Round 6 slot, and they scooped it up. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick210
Rnd6
Miles Frazier
Miles Frazier at Round 6, Pick 35 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick234
Rnd7
Jamon Dumas-Johnson
Jamon Dumas-Johnson at No. 234 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
