Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Quarterback settled, Ewers in the fold, and a B- for the Seahawks.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Seahawks were there to profit. TreVeyon Henderson, the No. 70 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick 136.

Quinn Ewers is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Ewers has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 Quinn Ewers
The board had cheaper options than Quinn Ewers at the 16th overall pick, and it noticed. It fills a real need, too.
Pick47 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
They took Tyler Booker at par in the 47th pick, which is nothing to complain about. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick78 Rnd3 Jake Majors
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jake Majors in the Round 3 slot. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick136 Rnd4 TreVeyon Henderson
You do not let a running back like TreVeyon Henderson reach Round 4, Pick 35 and blink. They did not. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick173 Rnd5 Donovan Jackson
Donovan Jackson at No. 173 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick194 Rnd6 Xavier Nwankpa
Steal is underselling it; Xavier Nwankpa at the 194th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick210 Rnd6 Jared Wilson
Jared Wilson at pick 210 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick230 Rnd7 Kevin Winston Jr.
They barely believed it either: Kevin Winston Jr. still on the board at the 230th overall pick. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
