If Whittington pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

With edge rusher, tight end and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
