Overall B

The Seahawks turned the phones into found money: B.

Whoever sat across the table from the Seahawks should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

The cost of the Wilson reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it. On value alone, Whittington makes the weekend a net positive.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick37 Rnd2 Cooper Beebe
Cooper Beebe in Round 2, Pick 5 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick47 Rnd2 Byron Murphy II
They talked themselves into Byron Murphy II at slot 47, and the board did not agree. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick53 Rnd2 Jack Sawyer
They reached into another round for Jack Sawyer, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick77 Rnd3 Jackson Powers-Johnson
They took Jackson Powers-Johnson at par in pick 77, which is nothing to complain about. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick79 Rnd3 Spencer Rattler
A premium they did not need to pay, Spencer Rattler a notch or two before his time. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick115 Rnd4 Junior Colson
No edge and no loss on Junior Colson in the 115th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick121 Rnd4 Payton Wilson
A wild overpay on Payton Wilson in No. 121, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick152 Rnd5 Mike Sainristil
Mike Sainristil at pick No. 152 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick193 Rnd6 Joe Milton III
They paid sticker price for Joe Milton III in slot 193, and that is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick236 Rnd7 Jordan Whittington
The board had Jordan Whittington higher than pick No. 236, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
