Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Seahawks won the night they stopped Higgins from sliding. Grade: B.

When a board-topper like Jay Higgins slides to the Round 7 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Seahawks did not.

They are betting Nash proves the room right and everyone else wrong. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Will Campbell
In pick No. 18 they get an anchor for the offensive line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick50 Rnd2 Harold Fannin Jr.
Harold Fannin Jr. slipping to the Round 2 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick82 Rnd3 Jalon Walker
Taking Jalon Walker in slot 82 is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick136 Rnd4 Tai Felton
Tai Felton in the 136th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick173 Rnd5 Devin Neal
Somehow Devin Neal was still sitting there in pick 173, and they pounced on premier running back value. The roster fit checks out.
Pick183 Rnd6 Nick Nash
A big swing on Nick Nash at No. 183, well ahead of any board in the building. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick210 Rnd6 Ar'maj Reed-Adams
Nothing to complain about; Ar'maj Reed-Adams went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick234 Rnd7 Jay Higgins
You do not let a linebacker like Jay Higgins reach Round 7, Pick 20 and blink. They did not. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
