FutureA+
Grand theft in pick No. 195: the Seahawks steal Davis and grade out a D. Somebody took the Seahawks to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. Put together, it is a D.
They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Davis steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
The Wilson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The Seahawks clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
Pick Analysis
Pick62
Rnd2
Kingsley Suamataia
Kingsley Suamataia at the 62nd overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick74
Rnd3
Bralen Trice
A clean, defensible pick in slot 74 with a little surplus value in Bralen Trice. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick78
Rnd3
Calen Bullock
Calen Bullock at the 78th pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the safety. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick81
Rnd3
Jonah Elliss
Jonah Elliss at No. 81 is a conviction pick that outran the value. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick96
Rnd3
Zak Zinter
Zak Zinter at the Round 3 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick119
Rnd4
Johnny Wilson
Johnny Wilson in Round 4, Pick 19 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick151
Rnd5
Dallin Holker
They paid sticker price for Dallin Holker in the Round 5 slot, and that is fine. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick164
Rnd5
Jalyx Hunt
Jalyx Hunt in the 164th pick is fair value, right on his grade. Hard to map this one onto the depth chart at all.
Pick165
Rnd5
Jordan Travis
Jordan Travis slipping to pick No. 165 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick194
Rnd6
Myles Harden
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Myles Harden at Round 6, Pick 19. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick195
Rnd6
Isaiah Davis
Somehow Isaiah Davis was still sitting there in the 195th overall pick, and they pounced on premier running back value. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick233
Rnd7
Tip Reiman
Tip Reiman slid further than he should have, and No. 233 is lovely value for the tight end. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
