Draft Grade — Seahawks

FutureB+
The phones sank the Seahawks this weekend: D+. The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Seahawks reached some 85 spots for Jack Westover, and value like that does not grow back. Put together, it is a D+.
The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. However the rest shakes out, Kinchens at that price is a win they earned.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick22
Rnd1
Graham Barton
In pick No. 22 they get a blindside protector. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick55
Rnd2
Junior Colson
Junior Colson at No. 55 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick81
Rnd3
Kamren Kinchens
A slide stopped in the 81st overall pick, with Kamren Kinchens worth more than the price. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick96
Rnd3
Zak Zinter
Zak Zinter at the 96th pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick102
Rnd4
Khyree Jackson
Khyree Jackson in Round 4, Pick 2 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick118
Rnd4
Cedric Gray
Nothing to complain about; Cedric Gray went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick120
Rnd4
Roger Rosengarten
Roger Rosengarten in the 120th overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick179
Rnd6
Jordan Jefferson
A straight-up fair deal on Jordan Jefferson at slot 179, value and slot in agreement. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick192
Rnd6
Drake Nugent
A wild overpay on Drake Nugent in pick No. 192, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick235
Rnd7
Jack Westover
A real head-scratcher, Jack Westover in pick 235 is miles ahead of his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
