Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall C+
ValueA NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The Seahawks cashed the board's mistake on Dike: C+.

You could see the war room lean forward. Chimere Dike at slot 137 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C+ in the wash.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Wilson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.

Pick Analysis
Pick18 Rnd1 Ashton Jeanty
In pick 18 they get an every-down engine for the run game, and a steal at that.
Pick50 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori at Round 2, Pick 18 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick52 Rnd2 Colston Loveland
Steal is underselling it; Colston Loveland at slot 52 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It fills a real need, too.
Pick67 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
Nothing to complain about; Donovan Jackson went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick82 Rnd3 Omarr Norman-Lott
The board had Omarr Norman-Lott higher than No. 82, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick92 Rnd3 Jared Wilson
Jared Wilson at the 92nd pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick137 Rnd4 Chimere Dike
You do not let a wide receiver like Chimere Dike reach the 137th overall pick and blink. They did not. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
