Truckley45 DRAFTING FOR THEBills

Draft Grade — Bills
Overall
B-
ValueC+

TradesB-
FutureB-
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Bills and Anderson: B-. Call it larceny. Nic Anderson sat on the board until No. 168, and the Bills did not need to be asked twice. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. They will need Keenan III to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick29
Rnd1
KC Concepcion
In the 29th overall pick they get a true top target. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick62
Rnd2
Colton Hood
Colton Hood in No. 62 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick93
Rnd3
Xavier Chaplin
Nice patience on Xavier Chaplin, who had no business lasting to pick 93. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick130
Rnd4
Tim Keenan III
They talked themselves into Tim Keenan III at the Round 4 slot, and the board did not agree. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick168
Rnd5
Nic Anderson
Nic Anderson in the 168th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick219
Rnd7
Robert Spears-Jennings
They jumped the gun on Robert Spears-Jennings, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick233
Rnd7
Amare Campbell
Amare Campbell at pick No. 233 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
