Flashes of a plan, unevenly run, for the Titans: C+.

The tape said wait; the Titans did not. Gabe Jacas went at pick 38, a good 61 picks before the board was ready.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. However the rest shakes out, Weigman at that price is a win they earned. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

In the end, one you will need a couple of seasons to truly judge.

Pick Analysis
Pick7 Rnd1 LT Overton
In the Round 1 slot they get a disruptor off the edge, though the board says they badly overpaid. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick38 Rnd2 Gabe Jacas
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Gabe Jacas well ahead of where he belonged. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick69 Rnd3 Michael Taaffe
Michael Taaffe in the 69th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick104 Rnd4 Parker Brailsford
This one needs a full-page explanation: Parker Brailsford in Round 4, Pick 4, miles early. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick185 Rnd6 Le'Veon Moss
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Le'Veon Moss. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick226 Rnd7 Conner Weigman
Nice patience on Conner Weigman, who had no business lasting to slot 226. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick238 Rnd7 Jerry Wilson
Jerry Wilson in the 238th overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A minor need, but a need all the same.
