Draft Grade — Ravens

The Ravens did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Ravens spent pick 34 on Anthony Lucas, a name most had 59 spots down the list. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 T.J. Parker
No edge and no loss on T.J. Parker in pick 3; it is a wash and a sensible one. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick34 Rnd2 Anthony Lucas
Anthony Lucas in No. 34 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick72 Rnd3 Dillon Thieneman
A quiet steal in Round 3, Pick 8: Dillon Thieneman for less than the market said. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick107 Rnd4 Whit Weeks
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Whit Weeks at pick No. 107 is the proof. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick140 Rnd5 DJ McKinney
DJ McKinney in the Round 5 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick145 Rnd5 Eugene Wilson III
Eugene Wilson III at the 145th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick175 Rnd5 Terion Stewart
A tidy bit of business in pick 175, where Terion Stewart graded well above the range. The roster fit checks out.
Pick176 Rnd5 Roderick Kearney
Roderick Kearney at the 176th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick251 Rnd7 Brandon Inniss
Brandon Inniss at Round 7, Pick 33 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
