Somebody in the 255th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Broncos sat still while Jackson Arnold, the No. 192 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They will need McDonald to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
