The 49ers cashed the board's mistake on Robinson: B-.

You could see the war room lean forward. Duce Robinson at the 173rd overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They are betting Corleone proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Dontay Corleone
In the Round 1 slot they get an anchor for the defensive front, even if it was a touch early. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick61 Rnd2 Rod Moore
A premium they did not need to pay, Rod Moore a notch or two before his time. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick94 Rnd3 Ian Strong
Ian Strong at Round 3, Pick 30 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick129 Rnd4 Jude Bowry
By-the-book stuff, Jude Bowry at pick No. 129 squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick137 Rnd4 Tacario Davis
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Tacario Davis in No. 137, plain and simple. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick138 Rnd4 Jaishawn Barham
Jaishawn Barham in the 138th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It fills a real need, too.
Pick173 Rnd5 Duce Robinson
Circle this one: Duce Robinson at the 173rd pick is a fall that decides a draft. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick179 Rnd5 CJ Daniels
A slide stopped in pick 179, with CJ Daniels worth more than the price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick205 Rnd6 Evan Stewart
A wide receiver of that caliber at the Round 6 slot is the definition of value, full stop. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
