There is conviction, and then there is this. The Cardinals took Jordan White a full 34 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

On value alone, Mendoza makes the weekend a net positive. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

Job largely done: quarterback settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered. The back end got a real overhaul.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
