A mixed bag for the Texans, and a C+ to match.

The tape said wait; the Texans did not. Kyle Ford went at pick No. 89, a good 301 picks before the board was ready. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.

Getting Booker where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.

Woody Marks at Round 5, Pick 28 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
