Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall

A weekend that raised as many questions as it answered. The Ravens get a C-. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Ravens spent the Round 4 slot on Sevion Morrison, a name most had 295 spots down the list. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C-.
Getting Hairston where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Quinn Carroll
In the 27th overall pick they get a long-term starter on the line, a steep price for the projection. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick59
Rnd2
Luke Kandra
Luke Kandra at Round 2, Pick 27 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick91
Rnd3
Mike Green
They will replay Mike Green at pick No. 91 for years; that is how good the value is. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick129
Rnd4
Sevion Morrison
They left a pile of value on the table to take Sevion Morrison this early at slot 129. It fills a real need, too.
Pick136
Rnd4
Pat Bryant
A reach for Pat Bryant in the Round 4 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick176
Rnd5
Carson Vinson
Carson Vinson at the 176th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick183
Rnd6
Kai Kroeger
This one needs a full-page explanation: Kai Kroeger in the 183rd pick, miles early. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick203
Rnd6
Tyler Baron
They barely believed it either: Tyler Baron still on the board at Round 6, Pick 27. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick210
Rnd6
Seth McLaughlin
Seth McLaughlin in No. 210 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick212
Rnd6
Maxwell Hairston
Maxwell Hairston at the Round 6 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick243
Rnd7
Brian Ugwu
They reached into another round for Brian Ugwu, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
