Gillotte should have been long gone. The Lions pounced, and earned a B-.

The Lions did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Ashton Gillotte fell into the Round 6 slot. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

They are betting Wells Jr. proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
