Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Dolphins were there to profit. Jordyn Tyson, the No. 12 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 6 slot. Too much went sideways, and the D+ is the honest tally.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. So much rides on Fernando Mendoza that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The Dolphins clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
