Draft Grade — Giants
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB+ TradesA- FutureB
Nothing loud, just a tidy B+ for the Giants.

You can draft well and still miss the point. The Giants did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to interior defensive lineman, which was the need that mattered most. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.

That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The cost of the Bisontis reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

Safety is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Francis Mauigoa
In the 4th pick they get an anchor for the offensive line. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick18 Rnd1 Carnell Tate
A tidy little value on Carnell Tate in Round 1, Pick 18, a step better than break-even. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick34 Rnd2 Colton Hood
Colton Hood in slot 34 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick35 Rnd2 Anthony Hill Jr.
Anthony Hill Jr. at pick 35 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick102 Rnd4 Chase Bisontis
They jumped the gun on Chase Bisontis, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick105 Rnd4 Adon Shuler
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Adon Shuler at the Round 4 slot. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
