Draft Grade — Giants
Overall

ValueB

TradesB-
FutureB-
The Giants left with their quarterback, and a B- to match. The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Giants reached some 61 spots for Elijah Roberts, and value like that does not grow back. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
Shedeur Sanders is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. Lundt falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick3
Rnd1
Shedeur Sanders
In pick No. 3 they get their quarterback of the future. A real need, handled.
Pick34
Rnd2
Colston Loveland
Colston Loveland is a better player than the 34th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick65
Rnd3
Azareye'h Thomas
Azareye'h Thomas at the 65th overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick117
Rnd4
Elijah Roberts
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Elijah Roberts. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick134
Rnd4
Tez Johnson
Tez Johnson at slot 134 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick155
Rnd5
Logan Brown
Logan Brown in No. 155 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick165
Rnd5
Hayden Conner
They left a pile of value on the table to take Hayden Conner this early at pick 165. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick216
Rnd6
Chase Lundt
They robbed the room for Chase Lundt here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick221
Rnd7
CJ West
A tidy bit of business in slot 221, where CJ West graded well above the range. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick226
Rnd7
Kyle Monangai
They will replay Kyle Monangai at pick No. 226 for years; that is how good the value is. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick244
Rnd7
LaJohntay Wester
LaJohntay Wester in the Round 7 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick248
Rnd7
Miles Frazier
They let Miles Frazier come to them and pounced at the 248th pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick257
Rnd7
Teddye Buchanan
Circle this one: Teddye Buchanan at No. 257 is a fall that decides a draft. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
