Thirty-one other rooms let Drew Allar slide, and the Patriots were the ones holding the card at pick 149. Highway robbery.

They are betting Oliver proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.

The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
