The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Bears watched Oronde Gadsden II slide 55 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They will need Walker to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
