FutureF
The Jets worked the phones like thieves and earned a B-. The trade table was a mismatch, and the Jets were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Lawson. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. They will need Ewers to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick14
Rnd1
Shavon Revel Jr.
In pick 14 they get a ballhawk on the outside at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick40
Rnd2
Harold Fannin Jr.
Nothing to complain about; Harold Fannin Jr. went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick45
Rnd2
Quinn Ewers
A big swing on Quinn Ewers at the Round 2 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick95
Rnd3
Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba in Round 3, Pick 31 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick109
Rnd4
Deontae Lawson
Deontae Lawson in slot 109 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
