Sanders should have been long gone. The Cowboys pounced, and earned a B.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Raheim Sanders, the No. 148 name on the board, stolen at Round 6, Pick 35. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

The skill positions did well by the weekend. They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
