Nobody dealt better than the Saints this weekend: B. The Saints clearly saw something nobody else did in Sam Hartman, taking him 88 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.
Gould falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.
Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
