The Saints got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D-.

Nobody else had Tyler Baron anywhere near the Round 4 slot. The Saints did, by 41 spots, and that gap is the whole story. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
