Draft Grade — Saints
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureB+
Larceny in the 90th overall pick lands the Saints a B+, Scott and all.

Whoever sat across the table from the Saints should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

That Scott pick is the receipt they will wave around later. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The Saints clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick13 Rnd1 Jeremiyah Love
They did well to land Jeremiyah Love in pick 13, just ahead of his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick42 Rnd2 Sonny Styles
Good price on Sonny Styles in Round 2, Pick 10, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick61 Rnd2 Eli Stowers
Eli Stowers at No. 61 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick90 Rnd3 Keionte Scott
Somehow Keionte Scott was still sitting there in the Round 3 slot, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick132 Rnd4 Chase Bisontis
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Chase Bisontis at pick No. 132 is the proof. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick137 Rnd4 Keylan Rutledge
Keylan Rutledge at slot 137 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick149 Rnd5 Max Iheanachor
No edge and no loss on Max Iheanachor in the 149th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick150 Rnd5 Domani Jackson
Domani Jackson at Round 5, Pick 11 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick171 Rnd5 Earnest Greene III
No drama and no debate, Earnest Greene III went about where he belonged in the 171st overall pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick189 Rnd6 Evan Stewart
Evan Stewart at the Round 6 slot is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
