Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Jake Majors got past him. The Saints do not have to explain a thing at the 185th overall pick.

The cost of the Durant reach is exactly the players who went right after him. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
