Phillips should have been long gone. The Saints pounced, and earned a B+.

The Saints spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Andru Phillips, the No. 102 name on the board, in the 150th pick. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

If Milton III pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
