The Saints worked the phones like thieves and earned a B.

When the story of this class is written, it opens with Solomon Byrd at Round 6, Pick 26, a reach of 72 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Jones falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

The Maliek Collins deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
