The Saints worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Saints came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The McDonald pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Moss has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Adding Mazi Smith by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
