Grand theft in the 41st pick: the Saints steal Sadiq and grade out a B+.

The real work happened on the phones. The Saints fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

However the rest shakes out, Sadiq at that price is a win they earned. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

If Pena pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Puka Nacua gives the group a proven body among the projects.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
