Draft Grade — Saints

FutureB-
The Saints let Harris fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-. The board owed the Saints one, and it paid up: Jermari Harris, the No. 100 name on the board, sitting there at the 130th overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through offensive lineman. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
The skill positions did well by the weekend.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick9
Rnd1
Tyler Warren
In Round 1, Pick 9 they get a red-zone target to build around. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick40
Rnd2
Tyleik Williams
Tyleik Williams at pick 40 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick71
Rnd3
Kyle Kennard
Kyle Kennard in the 71st pick is fair value, right on his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick93
Rnd3
Tez Johnson
Tez Johnson at the Round 3 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick111
Rnd4
Savion Williams
Value with a capital V on Savion Williams in pick No. 111, a genuine coup. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick130
Rnd4
Jermari Harris
Jermari Harris at No. 130 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
