If confidence were a draft strategy, the Steelers would have aced it. Taulia Tagovailoa at No. 240 is 50 spots clear of where he belonged.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The safety hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They will answer for taking offensive lineman early while safety, edge rusher and other spots went begging.

They banked enough surplus on Mitchell to cover a lot of smaller sins.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the safety spot they never got to.
