The Bengals let Lacy fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

Somebody in the Round 5 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bengals sat still while Kyren Lacy, the No. 134 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with tight end solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
