The Patriots answered their biggest question with Williams. Grade: F. Somebody took the Patriots to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. The warnings were there, and the F is the bill.
The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Odunze pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
The verdict is harsh because the weekend was, and there is little to argue.
