Call it larceny. CJ Allen sat on the board until No. 62, and the Commanders did not need to be asked twice.

They will need Jacas to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Robert Spillane gives the group a proven body among the projects. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
