The Ravens did not so much draft John Williams as overpay for him, 56 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Starks. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.
