Lazymm DRAFTING FOR THE49ers
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — 49ers
Overall

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the 49ers: B-. The 49ers clearly saw something nobody else did in Jalin Conyers, taking him 128 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
They banked enough surplus on Bryant to cover a lot of smaller sins. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick11
Rnd1
Kenneth Grant
In the 11th overall pick they get a disruptive interior force, even if it was a touch early. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick43
Rnd2
Donovan Ezeiruaku
Donovan Ezeiruaku in No. 43 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick75
Rnd3
Deone Walker
They went early on Deone Walker in slot 75, and the value did not follow. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick100
Rnd3
Charles Grant
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Charles Grant at Round 3, Pick 36 is the proof. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick113
Rnd4
Jake Majors
A conviction pick on Jake Majors at the 113th pick that the board grades a round light. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick138
Rnd4
Lathan Ransom
They barely believed it either: Lathan Ransom still on the board at pick 138. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick147
Rnd5
Nick Nash
Nick Nash in the 147th pick is fair value, right on his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick160
Rnd5
Cobee Bryant
Steal is underselling it; Cobee Bryant at the 160th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick227
Rnd7
Carson Vinson
Carson Vinson in slot 227 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick249
Rnd7
Nick Martin
Value said wait; Nick Martin in pick 249 says they were not listening. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick252
Rnd7
Jalin Conyers
A real head-scratcher, Jalin Conyers in the Round 7 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
