The Patriots went off the board in a big way for Xzavier Henderson, 44 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

Getting Brooks where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it.

The Mike Hilton pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
