The Patriots let Fitzgerald fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

Somebody in the 238th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Patriots sat still while Ryan Fitzgerald, the No. 108 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Every board in the league had Prather lower, and that gap is the story.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
