The Bengals torched the value chart for RJ Oben, taking him 50 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Landing Winston Jr. that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Bengals indulged a want in Winston Jr. while a need in cornerback, tight end and other spots stayed open.
