Draft Grade — Browns

Grand theft in the Round 2 slot: the Browns steal Ramsey and grade out a B+. Whoever sat across the table from the Browns should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. Getting Ramsey where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The Spencer Brown pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick9
Rnd1
Carnell Tate
In the 9th overall pick they get a home-run threat at receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick24
Rnd1
Denzel Boston
In Round 1, Pick 24 they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick40
Rnd2
Olaivavega Ioane
Olaivavega Ioane at slot 40 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick60
Rnd2
Kamari Ramsey
They barely believed it either: Kamari Ramsey still on the board at pick 60. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick70
Rnd3
Deontae Lawson
Deontae Lawson is a better player than pick No. 70 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick107
Rnd4
Daylen Everette
Daylen Everette in the 107th pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick139
Rnd5
Jalen Stroman
Jalen Stroman at pick 139 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick144
Rnd5
Drew Allar
They read the board right and Drew Allar was the payoff at No. 144. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick147
Rnd5
Domani Jackson
Domani Jackson at the 147th overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick176
Rnd5
Le'Veon Moss
No drama and no debate, Le'Veon Moss went about where he belonged in the 176th pick. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick204
Rnd6
Tristan Leigh
Tristan Leigh in Round 6, Pick 25 is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
Pick248
Rnd7
Rueben Owens II
They did well to land Rueben Owens II in the Round 7 slot, just ahead of his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
