The Seahawks answered their biggest question with Daniels. Grade: F.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Seahawks spent the 199th overall pick on Jaden Shirden, a name most had 108 spots down the list.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Jayden Daniels gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits.

The Smith pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at interior defensive lineman. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

In short, a weekend the front office will want to forget in a hurry.
